PayoutPilot
vs Sales Cookie
Sales Cookie is the strongest small-team product on our price ladder and the hardest one to argue with: $40 a user, no setup fee, no contract, your first plan configured free, and a feature list that covers most of what PayoutPilot deliberately does not do. It is also per-seat, which is the one thing that turns against you as you hire.
The short answer
If your plans involve clawbacks, splits, true-ups or multi-currency, or you want your CRM connected, buy Sales Cookie. If you run 4 to 25 reps on plans PayoutPilot supports and you want one price that does not move when you hire, PayoutPilot is cheaper from the fourth rep and about a fifth of the bill at twenty-five.

What each one costs a 15-rep team
$0 · per month at 15 reps · $600
| Reps | PayoutPilot | Sales Cookie |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | $129 | About $400 |
| 15 | $129 | About $600 |
| 20 | $179 | About $800 |
| 25 | $179 | About $1,000 |
Sales Cookie publishes $40 per user per month on the Business plan and $60 on Business+, read at source 31 August 2026. Their own FAQ defines a user as "All payees plus admins", so a 15-rep team that also has one RevOps admin is 16 users and about $640. The chart uses the more favourable reading of 15 users exactly. There is no setup fee and no contract on either side, and they configure your first incentive plan free of charge, which is a real thing we do not offer. PayoutPilot is $129/mo up to 15 reps and $179/mo for 16 to 25 reps, with no setup charge.
The Sales Cookie column is their published $40 per user per month, counting reps only; add an admin seat and every row rises by $40. Volume discounts are offered on their pricing page without a published figure, so the higher rows may overstate a negotiated price. Note the direction of travel below 4 reps, which this site says out loud on its homepage slider: at 1, 2 or 3 reps their per-seat price is LOWER than our flat one, and they are the better buy. PayoutPilot is $129/mo up to 15 reps and $179/mo for 16 to 25 reps, with no setup charge.

| Cost below 4 reps | $129 flat, which at one or two reps is more than they charge. | $40 and $80. Cheaper than us, and the right buy at that size. | Sales Cookie |
| Cost at 25 reps | $179 flat. | About $1,000, and it rises by $40 with every hire after that. | PayoutPilot |
| Setup and implementation | $0. You enter or paste your plan yourself. | $0, no contract, and your first incentive plan configured free by their team. Better than ours, not merely equal to it. | Sales Cookie |

| Track record | None. PayoutPilot has no customers yet and says so. | An established product from Ninth Floor Technologies in Spokane, Washington, with a mature feature set and a support team. | Sales Cookie |
| Where your data sits | The free calculator computes on your own device. What you type or paste is not uploaded unless you save it to a workspace, and the working copy the calculator keeps so you can return to it is written to your own browser’s local storage, where we cannot read it. Three things do leave, and each takes an action of yours: a plan FILE you upload and ask us to read, plan text you paste and then hand to the AI reader on the button we offer when the on-device reader cannot find your rates, and, when a team file uses column names we do not recognise, that file’s header row plus up to five sample rows so the columns can be matched. All three go to Anthropic, none is stored by us, and none is used to train any model. The first two come back as rates you confirm; the third comes back only as which column means what, and the rest of your team file, and every total, stays here. | A hosted platform your data lives in, though their Compare page makes a point of open access to it through APIs, Excel, Tableau and Power BI, and of keeping your own field names. | PayoutPilot |
When Sales Cookie is the right purchase
These are not concessions written to look fair. Each one is a real reason to spend more money somewhere else, and if any of them describes your situation you should.
It does considerably more than PayoutPilot does
Splits, ramp ups, rollups, caps, clawbacks, payment triggers, partial payments, multi-currency with live rates, territory management, 30+ reports and an AI assistant that answers reps’ questions directly. PayoutPilot computes flat, tiered, attainment and threshold plans and prints a statement. If your plan needs any of the things in the first list, this is not a close decision and Sales Cookie is the answer.
Your data can arrive on its own
They sync natively with Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe, Dynamics, PayPal and, by their own count, more than thirty others. PayoutPilot has no integrations at all: somebody exports a CSV every period and uploads it. That is a real cost in minutes and a real risk of a stale export, and it is a fair reason to pay more.
They will configure your first plan for you, free
Their pricing page offers free configuration of your first incentive plan, with no setup fee and no contract, and free configuration service hours above ten users. PayoutPilot asks you to enter or paste your own plan and confirm what it read back. Ours is faster if you want to do it yourself at eleven at night; theirs is less work, and it costs nothing.
Below four reps they are simply cheaper
At $40 a seat, one rep is $40 and three are $120, both under our flat $129. There is no argument to make here and we do not make one: the homepage slider shows the same crossover, and if you have three reps you should buy from them or keep using the spreadsheet.
Who should stay with Sales Cookie
Five descriptions of a buyer, and if one of them is you then the rest of this page is not worth your time. We would rather lose you here than a month in.
- 01
Your plans use clawbacks, splits, true-ups, ramp ups, caps or multi-currency. Sales Cookie publishes all of those. PayoutPilot supports none of them and flags them rather than guessing.
- 02
You want the closed-revenue figures to arrive without anyone exporting anything. They sync with more than thirty systems; PayoutPilot connects to none.
- 03
Your reps want their own dashboard and somewhere to ask questions, rather than a statement per period. That is their model and it is not ours.
- 04
You have three reps or fewer. At $40 a seat they cost less than our flat price, and we would rather you read that here than work it out afterwards.
- 05
You pay more than 25 reps. PayoutPilot publishes no price above that, because it has not been built for it.
When PayoutPilot is the right purchase
The bill stops moving at the fourth rep
Per-seat pricing means your eleventh rep costs you $40 before they close anything. PayoutPilot is one number for the company: $129 up to 15 reps and $179 to 25. At 15 reps that is about $470 a month less, at 25 about $820, and the gap widens with every hire rather than narrowing.
Nothing to sign up for before you see your own numbers
Their trial is genuinely good: 14 days, every feature, sample data, no credit card. It still starts with an account. PayoutPilot’s calculator runs in this browser on your own plan and your own reps, with no email address, so the thing you are evaluating is your figures rather than their demo data.
A smaller product, and the boundary is written down
Sales Cookie is the more capable tool and this page says so eight times. What PayoutPilot offers instead is a scope you can read in a minute: four plan shapes, a payout per rep, a statement that shows the arithmetic. The FAQ lists what it does not do before you buy, which is a different kind of value from a longer feature list and worth less to most buyers than it is to some.
The free calculation happens on your machine
The free PayoutPilot calculator computes on your own device. Your reps’ pay figures, and a comp plan you type or paste, are not uploaded and not seen by us unless you deliberately save them to a workspace. They are kept as a draft in your own browser’s local storage so you can come back to the work, on your device rather than on ours, and the Start fresh button erases it. The first two come back as rates you confirm; the third comes back only as which column means what, and the rest of your team file never leaves the device. Any hosted platform holds that data by design, and theirs is open about giving you access back to it through APIs and Excel. Keeping those figures on your own device is still a stronger position than being able to export them from someone else’s.
Run your own plan before you believe any of this
Every number on this page is checkable and dated, and the product it argues for is on the other side of one click with no account. Put your own comp plan and your own reps into the calculator and see whether the payout figures match what you compute by hand. If they do not, PayoutPilot is not worth your money and you will know inside five minutes.
